March 19th, Gerd Rube was born in Schorndorf / Germany
1978
Musical education in melodica & accordeon.
1983
Traded the accordeon for a used Framus SG guitar...
1984
Gerd formed his first rockband "ALCATRAZ" from
a highschool band and they became quite popular
in south germany.
1988
"Music made by Hands", Gerd's first vinyl LP sold
more than 3000 copies and two songs made to the
charts "TOP 2000 D" of the Stuttgart radio "SDR".
1990
The following years Gerd performed with
the bands "Gigolo",
"Midnite Special"
or the 13-piece "Cocker Band"
(Joe Cocker tribute)
1992
Release of his first solo-CD "The way I feel"
Live showcase of his CD at the Auerbachhalle
Urbach / Germany
In the following years he released at least
one album a year on his own record label
"White Eagle Music".
He has been on the road a lot with the
"Coverband"
Gerd joined the "Good News" and was the
lead singer until July 2001
1993
Vize-Landesrocksieger Baden-Württemberg with
"Al Cat"
C&A presented him on "Newcomer wanted" with his
video vor two months on MTV europe.
Opener for Curtis Stigers and Johnny Guitar Watson.
The solo-CD "Broken hearts´n´Bourbon Whiskey"
was released and and his sound goes towards
Country-Rock.
1994
Award "Newcomer of the year" of the German-
American-Country-Music-Federation.
The CD "Broken hearts´n´Bourbon Whiskey" is
