In 2009 European singer, songwriter, and guitarist GERD RUBE from Schorndorf Germany 
is promoting his 16th CD release , "Live in Key West". This new album contains original 
songs and classics by Neil Young, Springsteen, Bryan Adams or even Led Zeppelin.

Continuously touring the US since 1993 as a solo, duo or with a four-piece band, Germany's 
(not for long) best kept secret has been building a fast-growing fanbase here and got 
titeled "honorary local" as well as "The Keys favorite German son".
 
Gerd has recorded with members of the Garth Brook's Band in Nashville, TN and members 
of the Miami Sound Machine. His music-video "Happy Day" was played on MTV Europe for 
several months. One German magazine hit home the point accurately when they wrote, 
"Gerd doesn't want to renew the music - he likes it the way it is!"

Performed on many live stages from Europe to his second home in the Florida Keys, 
from New York to California and many points in-between, his influences range from 
the classics of the Allman Brothers to the cutting edge of vintage Frank Zappa and all 
have found their place in his live stage performances. Throughout the years, Gerd found 
and settled into his own style and could be described as a mix of The Eagles, early 
Bryan Adams, with a little Bon Jovi tossed in for good measure. His unique voice easily 
identifies him and becomes very addictive. The very own version of Prince's classic 
"Purple Rain" has become the finale of his live shows leaving the croud wanting more...!!

FLORIDA KEYS TOUR 2009/2010

Another six months in paradise, the Florida Keys Tour starts October 13th
2009. We are working on the details these days, but most of the time
you'll find Gerd Rube again at "Willie T's" in Key West, 535 Duval St.
Also he will have his new CD "Live in Key West" available. Shortly you'll
find it in our shop with cdbaby.com. So, get ready for another crazy season 
in one of the nicest places on earth: The Florida Keys!



TIME TO HIT THE ROAD...
April 1st 2009

I can't believe how fast those six months of this Key West winter season 
passed bye, just like a warm summer wind... before you know it, it's over.
Just about 120 shows, played till my fingers bled, and it was fun, fun, fun!
Willie T's became a new home for me playing there four nights a week, and
for the first time Sloppy Joe's had me as a regular on stage every Friday.
Spring breakers, hell raisers, hippies and parrotheads, trailer trash and
Boca Business Men, Germs, Canadians, Americans and, and, and ... 
Thousands of people I had the pleasure to meet, thank you so much for coming
to see my shows, for the support and believing in me and the talent god gave
me to make your vacation even more fun! Hope you'll all enjoy the CDs while
I am gone and I'm looking forward seeing you next time when I am back in the 
Keys from October 2009 through April 2010 again!!

Lots of fun at the bithday-show on March 19th in Key West, Florida. Many
friends came to Willie T's and celebrated their "German Rock Singer". Now
it's only a couple more days to go back to Germany for the 6-months

ANOTHER DAY IN KEY WEST PARADISE
   
Saturday, March 13th 2009
90 out of the 100 Shows of the Florida-Tour have been played and it's still so
much fun in Key West! With 5 shows per week there's not a dull moment. The
constant rotation of the setlist is ver challenging and all these thousands 
of people coming down from the cold north apreciate the wide variety of songs
and also the originals. Except of some coldfronts passing through, we still got
plenty of warm days with temperatures in the 70's and 80's.

Oct. 27th 2007 Marathon Florida
What a nice surprise during the show at "Dockside". Some soldiers just
made it back from Iraq and had their welcome-back-party with their friends
and family. "Sweeeeeet Home Alaaaabama", and the place was jammin'.
Awesome!

DUDE, IT WAS A H-O-T TIME IN THE FL KEYS!


Ok, the 14 days of daily shows in the Keys is done and it was again a great
time at "Sloppy Joe's" as well as at "Hog's Breath Saloon". You might 
just wanna check all the pics, they say more than a thousand words!
Time to go back to Germany for some shows as well as one week in
Spain to b back after that to the Florida Keys for one week with the
full band at Hog's Breath in Key West (Sept.24-30). Plus on top of
that you can find us jammin in Marathon at "Dockside" Oct.2+3 !!!
Or later this year by the end of October, just in time for the crazyness
of the world famous Fantasy Fest at Sloppy Joe's! Please find all details
