In 2008 European singer, songwriter, and guitarist GERD RUBE from Schorndorf Germany
is promoting his 15th CD release , "This Is Me". This new album contains original
songs that fit his rough throaty voice perfectly whether the style is acoustic or rock.
Continuously touring the US since 1993 as a solo, duo or with a four-piec band, Germany's
(not for long) best kept secret has been building a fast-growing fanbase here and got
titeled "honorary local" as well as "The Keys favorite German son".
Gerd has recorded with members of the Garth Brook's Band in Nashville, TN and members
of the Miami Sound Machine. His music-video "Happy Day" was played on MTV Europe for
several months. One German magazine hit home the point accurately when they wrote,
"Gerd doesn't want to renew the music - he likes it the way it is!
" Gerd has performed on many live stages from Europe to his second home in the Florida
Keys, from New York to California and many points in-between. His influences range from
the classics of the Allman Brothers to the cutting edge of vintage Frank Zappa and all
have found their place in his live stage performances. Throughout the years, Gerd found
and settled into his own style and could be described as a mix of The Eagles, early
Bryan Adams, with a little Bon Jovi tossed in for good measure. His unique voice easily
identifies him and becomes very addictive.

eine ganze Band auf der Bühne. Songs von Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Metallica,
Melissa Etheridge, von Hotel California bis American Pie und seine eigenen Titel
präsentiert der meißtgebuchte Rocksolist Süddeutschlands in einer für einen
deutschen Musiker ungewöhnlich überzeugenden Weise.
2008 promotet der Schorndorfer Sänger/Songwriter/Gitarrist seine fünfzehnte CD. "This
is me" enthält neue Eigenkompositionen im Bereich Acoustic- bis Modern-Rock, die seiner
Reibeisenstimme auf den Leib geschrieben sind. Seit 1993 tourt er regelmäßig in den USA
und hat sich auch dort eine ständig wachsende Fangemeinde erspielt. Auf seinen CDs finden
sich Aufnahmen mit US-Spitzenmusikern von der Garth Brooks' Band in Nashville/TN oder der
Miami Sound Machine. Gerd's Videoclip wurde über zwei Monate auf MTV ausge-strahlt.
"Er möchte die Musik nicht erneuern, sondern liebt sie so wie sie ist..." schrieb ein
Musikmagazin und traf damit den Nagel auf den Kopf. Gerd inspirierte sich durch seine
zahlreichen Live-Auftritte in seiner Heimat, in ganz Europa bis ü-ber New York, Californien
und hin zu seiner zweiten Heimat in Florida. All die bekannten Klassiker von "A" wie die
Allman Brothers bis "Z" wie Frank Zappa sind Teil seines umfangreichen Live-Repertoires.
